Alcock, Richard was born c.1808 in Temple Guiting, Gloucestershire. Son of Joseph Alcock. He married Matilda Woodman in 1860 in Stow on the Wold, Gloucestershire. He appears on the 1841 & 1851 censuses for Hawling, Gloucestershire; 1861 for Bretforton, Worcestershire; 1871 for Stottesden, Shropshire; 1881 for Adlestrop. He was a farmer. He died in 1885 in Stow on the Wold, Gloucestershire.
